Everyone has heard about NATA, especially those who dream to pursue architecture. But what is NATA? The Council of Architecture (CoA) conducts the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) for the candidates who want to join B. Arch This entrance examination is a gateway to becoming one of the renowned architects. The council has been constituted by the Government of India for the registration of Architects and thus all the candidates should be aware of all the NATA course details.

NATA 2020 eligibility criteria
It is mandatory for every candidate to fulfill the eligibility criteria before filling the application form.
• Age Limit: There is no age limit to apply for the examination.
• Qualification: The candidates must pass 12th class from a recognized board.
• The subject in class 12: Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics are compulsory. The candidates with the art stream are also eligible if they have qualified the PCM subjects to fulfill the above criteria.
• Marks criteria: The candidates must secure a minimum of 50% marks and 50% aggregate in PCM subjects. Those who have passed diploma examination with at least 50% aggregate marks and mathematics as one of the compulsory subject are also eligible for NATA. The candidates appearing for the 10+2 examination with PCM subjects in the current year will also be allowed provisionally.
NATA Course details

Syllabus for Mathematics:
Mathematics consists of Algebra, Logarithms, Matrices, Trigonometry, Coordinate geometry, 3-Dimensional Co-ordinate geometry, Theory of Calculus, Application of Calculus, Permutation and combination, Statistics and Probability.
Syllabus for General Aptitude:
General Awareness, Mathematical reasoning, Sets, and Relations.
Syllabus for Drawing Test:
Understanding of scale and proportion of objects, geometric composition, shape, building forms and elements, aesthetics, color texture, harmony, and contrast. Drawing of patterns - both geometrical and abstract. Generating plan, elevation and 3D views of objects. Perspective drawing, Sketching of urbanscape and landscape, Common day-to-day life objects like furniture, equipment, etc., from memory.
